You will need

• Scissors - normal and precision

• Sharp razor       

• Small foam brush                                              

• Tweezers

• WATER-BASED gloss and matte clear coat (any other type of clear coat will melt the film, only use water-based clear coat spray) MINWAX POLYCRYLIC, KRYLON LOW ODER CLEAR, and BELTECO CRYSTAL CLEAR have been tested safe

• (Decal setting solution is not needed)

Best practices for applying your decals:  

• Clean model of dust. A smooth, dry and glossy surface to apply is ideal. 

• Spray WATER-BASED gloss-coat on model where decals will be applied wait at least an hour to dry

• Cut your decal to shape and soak in water until the film easily slides on the paper, but does not fully separate. While waiting, lightly wet the area of the model where the decal will go.

• Lay your wet decal over area to applied, with one finger hold down one side of the decal, and with your other hand, pull the paper out from below the film from the other direction

• Once it’s in place, use a foam brush to lightly rub the top of the decal to remove excess water, flatten any bubbles or wrinkles, and to make it conform to surface shapes. 

• Let it fully dry overnight, spray the model again with a coat of clear WATER-BASED gloss to bring everything to the same sheen, then once dry spray again with WATER-BASED matte or dull clear coat.
